History:

Zack was a SOLDIER 1st Class from Gongaga, His first mission was to kill of his former friends also from Solder 1ST class the had been transformed into monsters that were degrading. Under his superior officer Angeal whom Zack obtained the Buster Sword from After killing his former mentor. Though laid back and a big flirt, Zack follows a moral code of loyalty to his friends strives to protect people above all else and fighting those who have little respect for life. While stationed in Midgar, he met many different people. Five years prior to the Reactor incident, he is sent, along with Cloud, Sephiroth and some other soldiers, to investigate reports of monsters causing disruptions in the vicinity of the Mt. Nibel mako reactor. After Sephiroth's massacre of Nibelheim's villagers, Cloud and Zack are taken prisoner in the basement of the Shinra Mansion and used as test subjects for Hojo's Sephiroth "Clone" Project, an experiment designed to test Hojo's Jenova Reunion Theory by injecting subjects with Jenova cells.


However, months later, Zack breaks out of his confinement and carries the incapacitated Cloud with him during their escape. Zack's ability to escape from his imprisonment is due to the fact that he — being an individual full of self-confidence, and, as a result, a strong will, and the promises he made to himself — was unencumbered by the potentially negative side-effects of mako treatment (known as "mako poisoning", in which the memories of the deceased within the mako cause those with low self-confidence to become lost and confused within their own minds) and had handled the treatment before when being infused with mako as part of the procedure to become a member of SOLDIER.

He gets them transport to Midgar, where he hopes to become a mercenary and rich. However, before arriving in Midgar, they are ambushed by Shin-Ra soldiers. Zack already tired and run down and knowing it was time hides cloud behind a rock formation, before confronting the massive army that had been sent to kill him numbering more than a thousand. Zack stood firm as helicopters arrived to the scene he still kept his calm as he place the flat side of Angeal's sword against his fore-head as if talking to his mentor and charged the ranks of his enemy in the end he wasn't strong enough he massacred the entire force of the Shina army except for three members.

Exhausted and already severely wounded Zack is shot to death, while Cloud, too sick to move, is simply left to die on his own. Subsequently, Cloud takes Zack's persona — either out of overwhelming guilt or a side-effect of the Jenova cells Hojo injected into him as part of the Sephiroth "Clone" Project — and Buster Sword. For much of the game, he acts as though significant parts of Zack's life were actually part of his own, and suffers from severe headaches when faced with a situation that conflicts his false "memories" with reality he basically thinks he's some how Zack. Cloud with rage burning in his veins hunts out Zack's killers and the destroyer of his home town:Sephiroth.



Yet some how through the bullet wounds and the broken pride he lives.Zack not able to go to life stream from the large amount of mako in his body ends up back in his bullet ridden body. He lives on not only in memories but also in life,literally.
