The remake for Final Fantasy VIII.

Ok I found a site it was a thread from a interviewer I followed that to the people he was talking to and on that site it said that.
(This is not ecactly what they said.)

In the Tokyo game show 2007 Square Enix told Japanese video gameing magazine Famitsu that they were coming out with 27 or so games
11 of them remakes.

The interveiwer asked them if they planned on remakeing Final Fantasy 7 and they replied saying: A remake for FFVII is not a matter of if its a matter of when but right now we are cought up working on the FFXIII saga but we have plans for later to remake Final Fantasy VII as well as VIII and IX.

The magazine was Famitsu it is in japanese so I can not read it but if you can find a out how to translate it take a look and I found the thread by doing a search for "remake of Final fantasy 7,8 and 9" (I used Google.) if you still can not find it I am sorry but this was the best I could do.

So this means that Squall and Rinoa are comeing back yes!!!

i just read from somewhere they made a demo FFVIII for PS2 back in 2002(correct me if i'm wrong in this,i forgot the link to that info,i'll try to find it later...)

what i know is that FFVIII songs are made using a PS2 program(idk if its the whole game)
then they lower the um..programming level to fit with the PS program(k,i'm not good with all this tech things so its hard for me to explain these things...XP)
nway,rumors has it that they're gonna use the original music scores for the PS2 re-make..

AND it is STILL A RUMOR.....

that tech demo was the same as the ffvii ps3 tech demo, merely a demo from my recolection, long time ago though XD

Yea it was. And it was a while ago. I don't know if a remake of 8 is going to happen or not. It was really pixilated for it's time but still great graphically for its time. I think a remake might be worth some time even though I'm not a big fan of the game.

If they do remake it, it should be done for the NXT GEN systems like PS3 and 360.

Well them makeing for the PS2 instead of the PS3 is not that bad because:

1) You can play it on the PS3 any way.
2) Final Fantasy VIII does not really need really-really good graphics.
3) The major up side to a remake is them makeing it with voice overs and they can just make it for the PS2 and reach a larger market.

You're right. It would reach a larger market it they made it for PS2 but I'm not sure that they just wanna re-do the voicing. Something tells me they'll def. upgrade the graphics.

well its SE and they wont go backwards in technology, they are one of the most advanced technological developers in the market. So if they ever did do a remake it wouldnt be for ps2

i hope it is for ps2 i dont have ps3 yet ^^!
but all i know have ps2 so....i think if they make it for ps2 they will make goood @#$#$ monye ot of it lol.
