Fallout
I take great pride in the fact my 101st post is about Fallout. (You will understand soon.)
(To those worried I will not ruin the game for you.)
I started the series with the PS3 version of Fallout 3. The entire series takes place in post-apocalyptic earth, Following a nuclear war in 2077. The first two games are in California, While the third (The first one I played.) takes place in and around Washington D.C., In what is now knowen as the Capital Wasteland. Now before the bombs fell in 2077 a company called Vault-Tec built underground shelters called Vaults, A person could pay to reserve a place in one of these Vaults. When the bombs fell in 2077 the people closed Vault 101 (That is why I am proud.) and it never re-opend. On 2277 (200 years later.) You and your father are liveing in Vault 101, but when your father leaves the Vault without telling you. You leave the Vault and go after him.
Now I am not going to tell the plot of the first two games as a doubt many more people have played them. The Fallout series is (At this moment.) comprised of three main games and a number of spinoffs taking place all in the former United States from places like Missouri,D.C.,California,Texas and alot of other places. This series is rated M (Mature 17+) with curse words and sexual themes (No nudity.). The rateing mainly comes form the heavy level of violence through all the games.

Isn't the first game kind of arcadie? We're all serious gamers here and if people get a little upset by the fact of you ruining the games then that's just sad! I for one would like to know the plot of the first 2 games... I've played Fallout 3.... For 360 it froze a lot... Other then that it was a good game. Great story.

The older Fallout games remind me of the Baludr's Gate games. I liked them, but I never went as far as beating the first two. Beat Fallout 3, but their is still so much more to see in those games with all the updates, and expansions. I heard the second was the best, what you think?

The first two games.
I have played 1 and 2 (I find 3 is the best).
The plot for the first is:
You are a Vault dweller in Vault 13 around 2168 (I can not remember). wich is in California. The Vaults water chip (Needed to clean water) has broken. Vault 13's Overseer (leader) orders you to go out into the wasteland of California and find a new one. **Spoiler** In your travel you find a water chip but you also find out someone called the Master has been makeing Super Mutants (Note: They are a little differnt then the ones in 3) who wish to take over the wasteland. **Major Spoiler** When you have defeated the Master and his army, you return to Vault 13 but are not let back in. The Overseer claims your travels have changed you. Your character (later knowen as the Vault Dweller) travels on to find a new home.
The plot if the second: ***Major Spoliers***
The Vault Dweller, along with friends who left Vault 13 after he was exilled founded the village of Arroyo. Generations later a drought hits the village and the village elder (The Vault Dweller's child) tells her child that the village needs the help of a G.E.C.K. to save the village. Eventually through the story the Enclave (The remains of the American goverment.) abducts the residence of Arroyo (and Vault 13) to work on their plan to destroy mutation in the wasteland. To put it simply, The Enclave is then defeated and the people of Arroyo and Vault 13 are united. (That main character of this one is knowen as the Chosen One.)
I also know the plot of the spin-offs if anyone cares.

The Fallout spin-offs.
I know of two in great detail:
Fallout: The Brotherhood of Steel - Takeing place shortlly after Fallout 1. A B.O.S. Paladin gathers a group of Brotherhood members from the California region and leads them on a 'search and destroy' mission against the former Super Mutants lead by the Master. Their reason for doing this is to get pay back for all the B.O.S. members the mutuants killed. The track them to Texas and then they find a ruined Vault that was apernetly the Vault used by the Vault-Tec executives (C.E.O. and so on). They then form the Texas Brotherhood of Steel. I do not know much about this one, as it is the only one I have not played yet but that is the base plot.
Fallout: Tactics - Inside the California Brotherhood of Steel there is a big debate regarding the B.O.S.'s rule of keep tech. to them selves and their need for new recruits after fighting the Super Mutants lead by the Master. The debate was langthy and the result was the Elders ruled they would not share thier tech. covensed they would survive as the have before. The minority (The ones who wanted to share the tech.) where sent on a hunting mission to destroy the remnants of the Master's army fleeing to the west. They traveled by airships (Zepplins), But a strom hit and destroyed most of the fleet. The craft crashed near the once thriveing city of Chicago. There seperated from the east coast B.O.S. the formed their own Brotherhood of Steel. The drafted civilians from villages and would in exchange protect the village form mutants and raiders. Through the game you fight raiders,Super Mutants,Reavers (A group of people who worship tech.) and finally the Calculater. **Spoiler** The Calculater is the machine that operates Vault 0 (Based in Cheyenne Mountain). After Vault 0 is attacked by Super Mutants the Calculater deduces that the world has become inhosbitable and begans to "cleanse" the land of all forms of radiation. It builds armies of robots to fight the radiation and the B.O.S. while it prepares to launch a virus and destroy all life outside Vault 0. The B.O.S. sends you (and your squad) to stop the Calculater. ***Major Spoiler*** Before the game ends you face one of two choices: One, Join with the Calculater (Who you then take over) and help the B.O.S. unite the land. Two, Just destroy the calculater and become an Elder of the Brotherhood of Steel. It is importent to note that through the game the B.O.S. starts in Chicago and ends in Calarado. The B.O.S. in Tactic takes control of areas as far as Missouri aswell.

Wow, you know i've played and beaten the 3rd one like 3 times now, and I didn't even pay that close of attention. Just like they were trying to make a new water supply, and then the enclave trying to take over and what not. That's it I need to pick up, and replay this game. Is their anything really even special about the expansions to this game? Have you ever played any of the expansions? What's new about them... I heard this game gets pretty deep.
