Website Updates and Goals?

What is the ultimate goal and/or desired design of the website? I mean what do we want to do with it? It's been the same way for a while with the same information. I know we don't have a lot of time because we all have lives and stuff, I just wanted to know what we need done.

I would love tohave a good and nice blog like website. The forum is ok for now. But the main website just needs to look more ff like. More fitting with our forum skin. so if ucould help us It would be verry welcome.

I need the login and password and how you host the site (ex. through godaddy or yahoo or something like that or if it's done by a private server someone is running). Also, do you want the existing blogs to remain or do you want to start ground up with the reviews?

well the reviews are ok I guess, whe just need a lot of additional info. If the blog is no good u can remove it and create something your own. I will send database login asap through msn.

Well do you want a site that someone can go to and get information about the games like the information that's on the back of the box? (ie how many players, how much memory it takes up etc) plus a short story description? Ok ok, I'm getting ahead of myself.

This is what I suggest. A site that any one can got to and get all the basic information about every game to include story, character info, general game instructions. On each game page there could be a link to reviews, Walkthroughs, Codes, Hints, Tips and gliches. Also on the home page maybe it needs a news section that we can give up to date information on FF related stuff. However, the reviews you have posted on there now seems to be S-E stuff. Not just FF. So do we wanna do all S-E stuff or just FF stuff. Because let's face it, as much as we all love KH, it's not FF even though some of the characters from FF are in there. So, do we want S-E stuff (which, mind you opens it up to things like Last Remanent and Xenogears and Xenosaga) or do we wanna get rid of the KH stuff and go strickly FF?

That all being said let me know what you think of the site idea I have above and let me know if we wanna go strickly FF with a smaller less detailed section of other S-E stuff or do we wanna open in up to all S-E stuff?

To be honest I do see kingdom hearts as a part of the ff series. A ripoff maybe but still with ff characters. I think there would be many unhappy fans out tere if whe didn't add that serie to our website.

Yea, it was made by S-E and it does involve FF characters but it's essentially not FF. Now, I'm not trying to push the site one way or another I'm just trying to get solid, clear guidance on how we want this to look before I dive deep into this.

One of the biggest issue I've run across in designing databases, sites, and even computers for people is that they just say they want a site about THIS and they don't clarify on what kind of info or stuff they want about THIS.

Figuring out what the THIS exactly is before hand can alleviate a lot of the back and forth. I don't mean to cause controversy, I just wanted to clarify. Do we want to go and include all of S-E's stuff or just stick to FF? I'm suggesting an FF based site with and "others" section for KH.

Any objections on that idea?

sounds good that "other" section let's make an ff site then with a small section for the KH series.
